Automate Your Analytics For Self-service Predictions

NEC’s booth at Grapevine, Texas, attracts large numbers of visitors intrigued by our latest Big Data & analytics solutions.

Self-service analytics is a hot topic at the summit, but NEC’s display of automated self-service predictive analytics goes even further. It is the first technology in the world to automate the time-consuming, often hit-and-miss process of feature engineering and predictive modeling.
Ramanujam Madhavan, Development Manager of Analytics Technology on the NEC stand described visitors as, “impressed by the technology, and interested in the two types of offering: self-service analytics and managed analytics service.”
The potential management cost savings to be gained through NEC’s managed analytics portal also peaked visitor interest.
NEC joined the Gartner Data & Analytics Summit at Grapevine, Texas as a platinum sponsor from March 6 to March 9, 2017.

NEC’s Solution Provider Session explains how its predictive analysis automation can revolutionize data analysis.

In a presentation entitled Predictive Analysis Automation: Analytics at the Speed of Business delivered on March 7, Dr. Ryohei Fujimaki, Research Fellow at NEC’s Data Science Research Laboratories and Mr. Tomohiro Oka, Vice President of IT Innovation Department at Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation introduced a radical new way of analyzing data using automated predictive analysis, either as a self-service or managed service option.

NEC’s predictive analysis automation is an emerging artificial intelligence technology that completely transforms the concept of predictive data analytics. It dramatically reduces the time required for complex, trial-and-error feature engineering and predictive modeling from months to hours. It also enables businesses to form agile and transparent predictive models that can be redesigned and remodeled to reflect changing conditions and offer continuous value. Therefore, businesses can produce high-ROI predictions with a low level of expertise.

Clearly a timely and topical new technology, audience members from the banking sector and other industries were keen to know more about how to determine meaningful, actionable features, how to maintain transparency and control in a fully automated process, and how the technology may apply to their individual businesses.
