To maximize the use of devices (SSD, SAS, and NL-SAS) with different costs and performance, NEC Storage PerformanceOptimizer autonomously reallocates stored data to an optimal device on a logical disk basis or on a data piece basis in a logical disk or between logical disks in a pool according to access frequency.
Installing this function improves responses of application system or maintains the responses at a satisfactory level, and moves less-frequently accessed data to a low-cost device automatically without impacting operations. With this function, disk arrays are operated cost effectively without requiring storage knowledge of users.
