Activities in China
Creation of China environmental compliance audit system
Since around 2006, environment-related regulations in China are being newly established or strengthened. Since 2009, NEC has established an environmental compliance audit system for NEC Group subsidiaries in China to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations in China.
Under the leadership of the China Environment Promotion Center established within NEC China, the environmental compliance audit system is used to create audit tools based on the various national and regional laws and regulations, and periodic compliance audits are being implemented while training auditors.
Audits are performed for about 200 laws and regulations, verifying the compliance status for over 1,000 check items.
