NEC Storage RemoteDataReplication/DisasterRecovery

Function

Atomic group

Multiple pairs of volumes can be managed as atomic groups. Consistency of data in each atomic group is assured if a disaster occurs.

Remote replication

Remote replication is executed in a geographically distant site.

Semi-synchronous sequential assurance

Semi-synchronous copy mode of order guarantee Data is copied to a remote site without being synchronized with business I/O operations. Since data is copied to business I/O operations via the guaranteed sequence method, the data being copied is consistent.

Background copy mode of order guarantee

Data is copied to a remote site without being synchronized with business I/O operations. Since data is copied to business I/O operations via the guaranteed sequence method, the data being copied is consistent. Even in an environment in which the line bandwidth is unstable, replication can continue by storing data in a journal buffer volume.
