Selected as One of Clarivate’s Top 100 Global Innovators for the 15th Consecutive Year

Nippon Electric Company (hereafter “NEC”) was selected by Clarivate Plc (hereafter “Clarivate”) as one of the Top 100 Global Innovators of 2026. Clarivate selects 100 companies and organizations that continually generate highly impactful inventions shaping the future of their respective industries. This is the 15th time consecutively that NEC has been recognized for its efforts*.

Clarivate is a global information services provider specializing in academic information, intellectual assets, and library sciences, among others. The Top 100 Global Innovator ranking is created by the Clarivate Center for IP and Innovation Research through comparative analysis of invention data, evaluating the strength of each patented idea, from around the world,. The analysis is based on rigorous research utilizing Derwent World Patents Index (DWPI) and proprietary analyses derived from global patent data, measuring factors such as patent influence, success rate, uniqueness, and geographic investment.

NEC will continue to build and proactively utilize its intellectual property portfolio in order to realize its “Vision for Society” and Mid-term Management Plan. Through the strategic use of intellectual property, we aim to lead the promotion and implementation of new forms of co-creation and innovation across society.
