NEC UNMS EMS Module is the enhanced element management system designed to provide operators with necessary tools for the administering, operating, monitoring and provisioning their NEC network products.

NEC UNMS EMS Module collects and displays performance measures both in real-time and historical. It also has an interface to support optional report function tool that allows the operator to generate meaningful reports regarding the network performance. Northbound Interface (NBI) is available to support SNMP v3/v2c/v1 integration with OSS. It is also has a built-in interface for integration to NEC UNMS platform.

Network Elements can be configured remotely while security is maintained by employing enhanced security functions and protocols.

The UNMS EMS Module GUI has a standard architecture containing standard menus and functions that makes straightforward navigation of the UNMS EMS Module windows.

Auto-Discovery

Auto-Discovery function is supported for simplified network setup. This reduces the workload when adding new NEs and modifying the existing radio network.

Auto-Discovery
Input the Root NE IP Address (GNE) of new cluster to discover the network. Then the newly connected NEs will be automatically detected. Selecting the “Newly connected NE” from the pull down menu will allow the establishment of connections to the new NEs. The disconnected NEs can be selected and deleted.
Firmware Bulk Upgrade

Firmware Bulk Upgrade function is supported. This make appling firmware to multiple equipments at once.

UNMS interface

NEC UNMS offers L1/L2 Path management function that has been designed to be intuitive and reduce the time-to-configure of paths and sections for the network operators. Dynamically to control and optimize the network is accommodated.
