NEC Listed on the World and Asia Pacific Dow Jones Best-in-Class Indices (DJBICI)

Tokyo, May 8, 2026 - NEC Corporation (NEC; TSE: 6701) has been named to the Dow Jones Best-in-Class World Index and the Dow Jones Best-in-Class Asia Pacific Index, two of the most prestigious global indexes of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) investment.

The Dow Jones Best-in-Class Indices (DJBICI) are evaluation indices developed by S&P Global that evaluate the sustainable practices of major global companies across the "Governance & Economic," "Environmental" and "Social" dimensions. Companies that receive high evaluations are selected to the DJBICI.

NEC received high evaluations in categories that included "Transparency & Reporting," "Environmental Policy & Management," "Water," "Human Capital Management," "Customer Relations" and "Privacy Protection" (*1).

NEC became a signatory to the United Nations Global Compact in 2005, which was founded on the basic principles of human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption, and seeks to minimize the burdens that business activities may have on society. NEC aims to contribute to the creation of value for society through its business, and to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) launched by the United Nations. In order to promote sustainable growth, the company endeavors to achieve continuous inclusion in ESG indexes by advancing initiatives for materiality, identified from the perspectives of lowering risks and generating opportunities.
