The next episode of the world famous asteroid explorer

Hayabusa2, the asteroid explorer that succeeds the original Hayabusa, aims to explore the origin and evolution of the earth, sea, and life by exploring C-type asteroids rich in water and organic matter, while maintaining and developing the deep space return exploration technology demonstrated by the original Hayabusa. Hayabusa2 was launched from the Tanegashima Space Center on December 3, 2014, and after touching down on the asteroid Ryugu in June 2018, and dropping rovers to explore the surface, succeeded in various observations and plans to return to Earth by the end of 2020.
