Ink Cartridges
NEC has been collecting used NEC dot printer ink ribbons and PICTY and SPEAKS ink cartridges since FY 2002.
The heat generated by the incineration of the collected ink ribbons and cartridges is used for power generation (thermal recycling). The residue is melted, solidified, and reused as roadbed material or for other purposes (material recycling).

Used ink ribbons for NEC-made dot printer, and ink cartridges for PICTY, SPEAKS
*Collection of thermal transfer ink film is not performed for personal information protection purposes because printed contents that are either received or copied by the customer are left on the film.
Collection methods
Recycling boxes have been installed at the service centers in the NEC service network list. Please drop off used ink cartridges at these locations.
*This service limited to products targeted at the Japanese domestic market.
*Collection of cartridges will be carried out within Japan only.
