Complying with the REACH Regulations
NEC's compliance policy
To comply with the EU REACH regulations, NEC is promoting the exchange of information on chemical content through the supply chain and enhancement in the internal structure of information management.
Chemical content information entry sheet
NEC uses JAMP MSDSplus*1 and JAMP AIS*2 that are proposed by JAMP*3 for the exchange of information on the chemical content in the products, which is required for compliance with the REACH regulations.
*1: Sheet for entering the information on the chemical substances that are contained in the material or prescription that are to comply with the laws and regulations.
*2: Sheet for entering information on the chemical substances that are contained in the formed articles that are to comply with the laws and regulations.

Distribution of information on chemical content
NEC willingly utilizes the information distribution platform (JAMP-GP)* of JAMP to obtain information on the chemical content in the products that are procured and to provide the information on the chemical content of NEC products (general-purpose products).
To the suppliers
NEC provides a web system (free) to enable you to provide information on the chemical content of the products that are to be procured. This service enables you to provide information on the chemical content (AIS) quickly. By using a paid service, which is available as an option, you can provide AIS on your own commercial products via JAMP-GP to users other than NEC as well as being able to obtain AIS or MSDSplus on the materials to be procured via JAMP-GP*.
* To obtain AIS via JAMP-GP, the supplier must be a member of JAMP-GP.
