Legal Compliance Audits
FY 2012
NEC carries out environmental law compliance audits to comprehensively check legal compliance including environmental laws and regulations, local government ordinances, and pollution control agreements. Legal compliance auditing started in FY 2000, with audits performed once every three years at plants and NEC Group manufacturing companies. In the current fiscal year, the principal action items were minor ones such as reports related to address change and checks and control. No deficiencies leading to serious environmental pollution or labor accidents were found. We have created a plan to correct these problems and are keeping a close eye on the progress of corrective actions.
