Creation of China environmental compliance audit system
Since around 2006, environment-related regulations in China are being newly established or strengthened. In order to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations in China, NEC has established an environmental compliance audit system for NEC Group subsidiaries in China.
Under the leadership of the China Environment Promotion Center established within NEC China in 2006, audit tools have been created based on the various national and regional laws and regulations, and periodic compliance audits are being implemented while training auditors.
Audits are performed for about 150 laws and regulations, verifying the compliance status for over 1000 check items.
At present, compliance audits are performed periodically for five local production and maintenance subsidiaries.
