NEC is proud to sponsor CNN's "Be the Change," a groundbreaking TV and web program that features a group of volunteers who have committed their lives, time, and energy to making the world a better place. NEC continuously seeks ways to contribute to society through technological innovation and advanced solutions. Accordingly, NEC wholeheartedly supports CNN and these volunteers, who are devoting themselves to changing the world.

Be the Change provides viewers with a unique opportunity to experience the power of social change through action. Until September 2008, viewers will witness the lives and new jobs of six volunteers as they fan out across three continents. The volunteers will blog and post videos using cameras, laptops, and a brand-new website furnished by CNN. They will comment on the challenges they face, their triumphs, and their setbacks. These volunteers have different backgrounds, yet hold common values, beliefs, and goals. By committing their lives, time, and energy to helping others, they embody these words of Mahatma Ghandi: "We must be the change we wish to see in the world."

Through TV and websites, viewers can track the progress of the projects and people who make up Be the Change. Viewers may even have opportunities to take part. CNN invites viewers to share experiences in this dynamic, evolving, and living project. You, too, might be the change.
