Prakash Chaki

Senior Researcher

Bio

Prakash Chaki received his master's degree in electrical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay, and Ph.D. degree in information and communication engineering from the University of Tokyo. Since 2013, he is with the R&D division of NEC Corporation where he is currently involved in research of Beyond 5G (B5G) and 6G wireless communications. He is a recipient of multiple awards including NEC Young Researcher Award, NEC Excellent Invention Award, NEC Patent Award for Contribution in terms of Large Number of Issued Patents, IEICE Young Researcher Award etc. He has served as a 3GPP RAN1 delegate for the standardization of 5G new radio (NR), and has also served in various capacities in IEEE.
