LOTUSat-1 SAR satellite, Vietnam gets an eye in the sky on natural disasters [2:16]

Movie script

Space provides a view of the entire planet.

NEC developed the ASNARO-2 advanced small radar satellite.
This mission uses radio waves to observe the Earth's surface.
A ground system visualizes the data in real time to help monitor natural disasters and conditions in cities and farmlands.
In 2024, LOTUSat-1, an Earth observation satellite for Vietnam based on ASNARO-2, was completed.

Vietnam is a country (where) we have a lot of climate change and affected a lot by storm and cloud.
However, we believe that with LOTUSat-1 using the SAR pilot, we will have the more data and can contribute more efficiency?? for the disaster countermeasure and prevent the major disaster.
so that's why we already tried to prepare the human resource strictly for the operation of the satellite in near future.
we believe that Japan will be the very important partner, especially for NEC.

The satellite will spend at least five years carrying out its mission in orbit.
Next, we want to further expand this business.
Our intent is to solidify NEC's presence in the global space market.
You can launch a compact satellite with a smaller rocket.
By giving more people the opportunity to put satellites in orbit,
we can help everyone benefit from a safer, more secure society.
This is just the beginning...
