NEC launches global ERP template supporting SAP® S/4HANA

Tokyo, June 4, 2015 - NEC Corporation (NEC; TSE: 6701) today announced the launch of the "NEC multi-country model," a global ERP template supporting SAP's SAP®S/4HANA. By utilizing this template, it is possible to shorten the period of time needed to deploy SAP S/4HANA by up to 50%.

SAP S/4HANA is SAP's latest application software suite, featuring a range of functions that include accounting abilities through "SAP®Simple Finance."

The NEC Multi-country model enables global corporations to manage business data from subsidiaries spanning multiple countries, and to flexibly grasp and analyze the condition of their corporate group as a whole. The model also supports SAP Fiori®, enabling user-friendly analysis through intuitive user interfaces and the visualization of numerical data needed to understand business conditions at a single glance.

The NEC Multi-Country model supports the tax systems and business practices of 15 countries and regions (*). It is also equipped to handle standard operating processes for the automotive parts, assembly/manufacturing and processing industries. Based on the knowhow gained from utilizing SAP®ERP to renew its own mission-critical systems, NEC has established its own unique global installation and deployment methodology. With this methodology, corporations can complete deployments of SAP S/4HANA in a shorter period of time.
