15 students from KAIYO ACADEMY, a boarding school in Aichi Prefecture,
took a trip to visit the Kansai branch of NEC.

These students had the chance to experience the latest in biometric authentication technology.

Speaking to them was Hitoshi Imaoka, an NEC Fellow,
who has been at the forefront of biometric authentication technology development for over 20 years.

As the students explored real-world uses for biometrics,
their ideas sparked future possibilities

and Imaoka found their ideas truly inspiring.

This student proposed an intriguing workplace system: using face recognition
to instantly display personal details, like upcoming meetings.

This student was captivated by the sheer variety of
applications and methods

saying that biometrics could "expand the realm of human possibilities."


Biometric authentication technologies
are likely to be implemented in ways that redefine what's ahead

and the session offered a glimpse into that promising future.
