NEC organizes the NEC Innovative Solutions Fair 2015

Jakarta, 10 February 2015 – NEC Corporation (NEC; TSE: 6701) and NEC Asia Pacific Pte Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of NEC, today announced that the NEC Innovative Solutions Fair 2015 will be held on 10 February 2015, at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Jakarta, Indonesia.

The conference will feature executive keynotes and address current ICT challenges in the areas of public safety, cybersecurity, big data, Software-Defined Networking, and more. Speakers opening the conference include Dr. Nobuhiro Endo, President of NEC Corporation, Mr. Rudiantara Minister of Communication & Information Technology, Dr. Setyanto P. Santosa, Chairman, Indonesia ICT Society (MASTEL) and Mr. Yasuaki Tanizaki, Ambassador of Japan to Indonesia. Dr. Madan Oberoi, Director of Cyber Innovation & Outreach, INTERPOL will share a presentation on combating cybercrime.

NEC will showcase innovative solutions and technologies for societies and businesses, covering a wide spectrum of areas with a focus on smart cities and social infrastructure. NEC's solutions for society include high performance facial recognition technologies, disaster management and recovery, big data analytics, cybersecurity, energy management and more. Other solutions that will be showcased include cloud solutions, next generation retail solutions and carrier solutions, amongst others.

Cutting-edge technologies showcased for the first time include bus optimization schedule technology utilising big data analytics for reducing excess waiting time, and command and control centre systems using video and audio analytics for detecting unusual activity behind blockages, amongst others.

For the first time, NEC will showcase a powerful end-to-end HD panoramic video surveillance system (PVSS) for ensuring security at mega events. The system provides 3D panoramic video footage in real time and can capture 180-degree video for synchronized panoramic viewing. The system can be integrated with video analytics such as facial recognition capabilities. Videos can be shared easily online for multi-agency sharing and collaboration for security purposes.
