At this office, workers can use their break time effectively By utilizing face recognition to enter the store.
And face recognition for self-checkout, we're providing a new shopping experience using such technologies.
This system processes the operation information of our refrigerators in real time.
The quantity of our orders is proposed by artificial intelligence.
Utilizing such information technology allows us to raise productivity and focus more on the tasks that only people can perform.
Our goal is to create a customer friendly store by putting our effort in product assortment and setting up the sales floor.

As a result, we are receiving many positive feedbacks from our customers.

Overview

NEC's AI and IoT technologies are utilized at the 7-Eleven Mita international building 20F store which was opened in Tokyo in December 2018.
The store creates a customer and an employee friendly store by utilizing face recognition to enter the store, and face recognition for self-checkout, by 24-hour automatic monitoring for management of equipment operation, by AI-based proposal of purchase order.

We introduce a case study of Seven-Eleven Japan aiming to create a human friendly store by combining respective merit of the machine and the human for store operations.
