On May 21, 2025, as part of a comprehensive partnership agreement with the
Tokyo Voluntary Action Center (TVAC), the Tokyo Metropolitan Government held its first-ever disaster volunteer seminar for corporate employees, delivered specifically for NEC Group employees.
The seminar was attended by more than 130 NEC Group employees nationwide. Through lectures, participants learned about disaster volunteering, the types of support that can be provided during emergencies, and actions that can be taken before disasters even occur. At the workshop following the lectures, participants engaged in group discussions about situations that arise when disasters occur to deepen their understanding of disaster volunteerism, focusing on topics like “If employees came to you immediately in the wake of a disaster and voiced their desire to join in volunteer efforts, would you—as a team leader—grant them permission to do so?” and “If given the choice, would you rather donate products that project your company’s corporate identity or offer support by sending out employee volunteers?”
