World’s top skateboarder Yuto Horigome to throw the first pitch ceremony at a Los Angeles Angels home game!

The Los Angeles Angels, with whom NEC has concluded a partnership agreement held a home game entitled “Ohtani Snow Globe Giveaway Presented by NEC” on Saturday, June 25, 2022, Japan time (local time: June 24). Yuto Horigome, one of the athletes sponsored by NEC and an Olympic gold medalist skateboarder, threw the first pitch of the game. In addition, 25,000 visitors to the game received an “Ohtani Snow Globe” on the day of the event.

This global collaboration was made possible through NEC’s partnership agreements with both the Angels and Yuto Horigome.

About Yuto Horigome


Born in Tokyo on January 7, 1999
In 2018, Yuto Horigome became the first Japanese skater to win 1st place in the Street League Skateboarding (SLS) Championship Tour recognized as the world’s premier professional skateboarding competition. In 2021, he won the first gold medal at Tokyo2020 Olympic Games in men’s street skateboarding and secured another gold medal at X Games held in Japan in April 2022.
