"Online Presence" enable user to see who is available now. After
clicking the Refresh status button, the current status will be reflected
in the presence icon next to contact list.
So user can avoid time wasted on attempts to reach unavailable staff.
And user can choice the modes of communication (Email, Chat, etc...) depending
on the each presence check results.
Click to Call

"Click to Call" enable the effective communication in a timely manner
by one-click.
After clicking the Phone button, outgoing call will be started.
So user can avoid time wasted on operation to dial the phone number.
And user can prevent redial caused by a wrong number.

IBM Lotus Sametime have several communication tools for many purposes.

Here is the basic operating procedure using Presence check and Click to Call functions.

1. Presence check -On Sametime contact list, select individual user or group that you want to confirm. -Click a Refresh status button on the toolbar. -Selected user's call status will be updated.
-If the call status is No-busy, please go to the next.

2. Click to Calll -Select the No-busy user, and click a Start a Call button on the toolbar. -The call will be started.
-If you want to start a web conference, please go to the next.

3. Web conference -Click a Web conference button on the toolbar of the meeting window. -The web conference will be started by using a web camera. |
