| K. Jay Miyahara received his B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Columbia University, School of Engineering in 1976 and joined NEC Corporation on July 1976. He was involved in the hardware and firmware design and development of NEAX 61 digital switching system. He was also involved in the current NEAX 61 sigma system design as an Architect and Engineering Manager. He has also managed development of International Gateway switching system, ATM switching and transmission system, and ATM based IP router. Since 1999, he has been involved in the system integration and technical customer support for CDMA and W-CDMA mobile communication system. During 1984 to 1988, he was Manger in charge of toll tandem switching system requirement definition for Sprint, USA. During 2001 to 2003, he was Director of Engineering, NEC UK. He became General Manager of Mobilefone Solution Division in 2004 and currently Corporate Chief Engineer of Mobile Network Operation Unit. |
