Group Discussion
Jan Seedorf joined the Next Generations Networking Group (NGN) at NEC Laboratories Europe in August 2007 as Research Scientist.
Previously he has been working as a research assistant at the University of Hamburg where he conducted teaching and research in the Security in Distributed Systems Group (SVS).
Jan received a B.Sc. degree in 2001 and a Diploma degree in 2002 in computer science from the University of Hamburg, Germany, with special focus on IT-security.
He has written several research papers on Voice-over-IP security and is currently finishing his Ph.D. on securing Voice-over-IP signalling in highly decentralised systems.
His research interests are in the area of Voice-over-IP security and Peer-to-Peer security. In particular he is interested in the session initiation protocol (SIP), and the security of structured overlay networks.
