NEC is among the first providers to offer a complete solution which includes the Femtocell access point for direct subscriber use, together with the gateway and the management systems. It is unique in supporting both an IMS based approach and luh (RAN Gateway). These products have open interfaces and are committed to the future standardization of Femtocell technology in order to drive its mass-market adoption.

NEC also has been actively involved in discussions on business cases and solutions, including residential and enterprise solutions with partners, customers and Femto Forum members.
