Notes on using Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1 (SP1)

Background information

Microsoft released Windows Server 2003 SP1 (Service Pack 1) on July 26th, 2005.

Calling itself "Windows Server 2003 SP1 with enhanced security functions," the security function was greatly enhanced, and for instance, the Windows Firewall function is enabled as the default setting. If you plan to use this Windows Server 2003 SP1 on an Express server operating with NEC Storage software products, please first read the notes listed below.

Notes

  1. A Windows Security Alert dialog appears when using NEC Storage software.
  2. Connection is cancelled when the Windows Firewall settings are changed after a TCP/IP connection is established between iSM clients and a server.
