NEC Storage NAS Basic Software efficiently uses NEC Storage NV Series hardware resources such as TCP/IP offload engine (TOE), non-volatile memory and RAID controller and offers a disc management function, file server function, network control function, data operation management function, access control function and centralized operation management function, and also provides high-performance, high-functionality and high-reliability functions such as cluster system control.
NEC Storage NAS Basic Software supports TCP/IP (Internet standard protocol) and Gigabit-Ethernet with UDP/TOE functions. As a network control function, it provides a link aggregation function that logically groups 2 ports into 1 interface.
This function provides a highly tuned file system and various network protocols such as NFS, CIFS and NDMP.
Secure operation can be maintained by limiting accesses from NFS/CIFS clients or network administrators in different authentication levels.
