NEC Storage NAS Basic Software

Access Control Functions

The NEC Storage NAS Basic Software provides access and control functions utilizing ACL (Access Control List) for Windows systems and File Permission Control for UNIX systems.

sxfs File System

In the sxfs file system, access control functions are provided by using POSIX-compatible mode bits similarly to the case with typical NFS servers.

sxfsfw File System

In the sxfsfw file system, access control functions are provided by using NTFS-compatible ACL (Access Control List) for Windows OS. When accessed from an NFS client, NTFS-compatible ACL of the sxfsfw file system performs access and control functions by allocating File Owner, File Group, and EVERYONE to the corresponding POSIX compatible mode bits.
