Great features of the NV series Part 3 - detailed features to help operation and management

All-in-one

All-in-one

Stand-alone local backup

Backup software is installed in NV series products. Backup servers used to be separately prepared and backups were made from these servers to tape libraries, but with the new configuration, tape libraries are directly linked. Therefore, loads on LANs can be reduced.

Anti-virus function

Virus scanning is executed within NAS devices; therefore, a necessary for each client. Since external virus checking operational loads on administrators can be greatly reduced.

Disk management

Virtual limitations are put on each user or group to prohibit them from using all hardware capacity such that flexible responses are enabled.

This is like a yellow card in soccer; giving a red card all of a sudden is a little bit too strict.
