PASOLINK NEO Nodal

PASOLINK NEO Nodal Human to human communication is glowing up more and more beyond spaces and times by propagation of mobile phone. Microwave radio links take charge of backbone network for these mobile systems.
The network capacity progress is accelerating the mass and the complexness about connecting point on backbone network. Therefore the cable cataract has occurred in nodal station that gathered links from branch stations and more works have been needed at adding or changing connections. This time NEC has realized the smart and new digital cross connect function in order to solve these problems.

The digital cross connect is the function to change the connection of E1 signal (2.048Mbps). Due to apply this function, the wire connection changing is operated without tools and operated from remote site. The changing can be worked out very short time and reduce the materials than the conventional way.
PASOLINK series have the function for improving capacity at field. Additionally the new technology digital cross connect can realize the more flexible and excellent expansion function.

"Two way expandable type" have the digital cross connect function for E1. Furthermore this type has the expandable ports that can be connected each other up to four IDUs. The connected four IDUs are available to distribute for 8 ways and up to 48 E1 each direction maximum. Each IDU has the tributary ports up to 16 E1. The expandable ports has the redundant connection and avoid the whole signal shut down when it occurs the trouble of cross connect function and work out in order to minimize the failure part.

One STM-1 (155.52Mbps) port can be applied in two way expandable IDU stack. This port can be delivered 63 E1 signal from cross connect board. This function will extend the capability due to get the connectivity to SDH backbone network.

The powerful cross connect function can be applied for most suitable solution in many various conditions due to get the flexible configuration in many kind of network topology for instance repeater, branch and star network.
