EXPRESSSCOPE Engine

NEC EXPRESSSCOPE Engine EXPRESSSCOPE Engine makes remote server management safe and simple for NEC servers.

For straightforward insight on the server status, administrators off site have real-time access to all related visual elements available locally. On the remote management console, graphics of LED indicators light and blink the same as on the actual server, and the server’s virtual LCD monitor, normally viewed through the local console, provides easy-to-understand details of server conditions.

When the NEC server's management LAN port is connected to the network, server status is available through the Web browser and command line interface. This eases access to remote servers and the graphical interface of the Web browser helps reduce the complexity of monitoring sophisticated hardware conditions. In addition, because monitoring is mediated by EXPRESSSCOPE Engine, the server's baseboard management controller (BMC), information collection does not depend on the operating system. This makes NEC servers suitable for datacenter environments with a mix of operating systems.
