You need driver update diskette (DUD). Get "ST EX Series SuSE SLES 10 32bit driver" ( 6_SuperTrak-EX-Series-suse-sles10-i386-2.9.0.16.tgz ) from PROMISE THECNOLOGY,INC.
  1. Boot from CD-ROM#1
  2. Push F5 to for DUD.
  3. During installation using CD1, the system will reboot automatically. Then OS assigns RAID Drives as /dev/sda, instead of /dev/sdb as which it assigns at first boot.
    1. Upon reboot, select "Boot from Hard Drive", hit Esc key to enter text-mode.
    2. Select "kernel" line and hit "e" key for edit.
    3. Change strings "/dev/sdb" to "/dev/sda" at all places. Then Hit Enter to exit.
    4. Hit "b" key to boot.
  4. If you see "press enter for login: " on the screen, Hit Enter to login.
    1. Mount the drive where /etc/fstab exists to /mnt.
      ex.) mount /dev/sda2 /mnt
    2. Edit fstab and change strings "/dev/sdb" to "/dev/sda" at all places.
    3. Unmount /mnt if mounted.
    4. Mount the drive where /boot exists to /mnt.
      ex.) mount /dev/sda1 /mnt
    5. Edit /boot/grub/menu.lst and change strings "/dev/sdb" to "/dev/sda" at all places.
    6. Restart the Operation System.
  5. Continue installation.
(*2)
Use Bonding driver.
See the kernel document about bonding. You need test performance on your environment.
