The integrated surveillance management platform works as a monitor station from which users can view taped footage. The cameras record continuous, 24 hours a day images and can be accessed by multiple terminals simultaneously. Users can easily customize the camera image displays to get exactly what they want in terms of rotation pattern, display time, and more. NEC's integrated management platform also has an alarm log function. It manages intrusion detection systems, fire detection, and alarms that are set off when the face recognition technology detects abnormal behavior patterns. All this information is shared on a remote basis.
NEC's Multi Streaming Recorder (MSR) enables multiple input and output actions. All the camera images are connected and can be accessed by remote and center office terminals. In other words, MSR can record and transfer several data streams at the same time. The alarms and the cameras work together.
The storage size can be expanded depending on the number of cameras, the quality of images, and the periods of time the data must be kept for.
NEC has also developed an innovative MSR recording method of rewinding an image very quickly while the camera continues to record. This is extremely useful in surveillance situations because it means the operator can monitor a suspicious person without halting the ongoing recording.
