imgK. Jay Miyahara received his B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Columbia University, School of Engineering in 1976 and joined NEC Corporation on July 1976. He was involved in the hardware and firmware design and development of NEAX 61 digital switching system. He was also involved in the development of the current NEAX 61 sigma system design as an Architect and Engineering Manager. He has also managed development of International Gateway switching system, ATM switching and transmission system, and ATM based IP router.

Since 1999, he has been involved in the system integration, technical customer support, development of W-CDMA mobile communication system.

He is currently Corporate Chief Engineer, Mobile Network Operations Unit in charge of product strategy for Mobile Broadband systems.
