We are working with non-volatile logic integrated circuits that use domain wall spintronics to reduce the total power consumption of electronic devices, the rise of which is a concern. NEC collaborated with Tohoku University to develop the world‘s first high-speed electronic circuits (content addressable memory: CAM) that do not lose their data even when they are powered off. This success constitutes a significant advance towards realizing electronic devices that are available instantly with zero standby power. We are also working on developing platform technologies to utilize non-volatile logic.
