Lithium-Ion Rechargeable Battery
NEC develops lithium-ion rechargeable batteries that boast high performance, high safety, and a long life, as key devices for environmental and energy systems. We have developed manganese cathode materials, original electrolytic solutions, and laminated cells and used these to become the first to commercialize large-capacity batteries for electric vehicles and hybrid vehicles. We are also working on developing high energy density rechargeable batteries.
