Human Interface (HI)

To develop the best user interface for efficiently meeting customer needs in the products and system development process, we focus on the following three research development themes.

  1. Human centered design (HCD) process application support technology: This technology supports correct and efficient requirement definitions by clarifying customer needs concerning the usability and agreement between customers and developers during the HCD process.
  2. Usability quantification and evaluation technology: This technology shows usability by quantitatively clarifying usability elements.
  3. Human model development and usage technology: This technology estimates achievement level for customer usability needs with scientific evidence.
To enable these HI-related technologies to be used in the business division/a business environment, usable HI must developed to reduce customer cost (e.g. education periods for system introduction, human error) and high usability for end-users.
