Lifecycle Management for Cloud Services

Cloud computing, which delivers IT services over networks, enables users to more quickly obtain software and hardware more rapidly.
Currently, cloud computing is gradually coming into use for enterprise systems. Cloud service providers are required to quickly offer services by accommodating changes in business environments at low cost.
To address this requirement, it is necessary to apply two approaches to cloud computing. One is to introduce life cycle management to cloud service management. The other is to automate the process of operation management of IT services.
We are researching the following two themes for developing these two approaches.

  1. Cloud Service Lifecycle Management (LCM) Technology Launch cloud services on a short-time basis by introducing a data sharing framework in all phases of the lifecycle of services.
  2. Autonomic Operations Management Technology Quickly provide IT services without manual actuation by the technologies provisioning execution environments adapted application services, effectively monitoring large-scale services, and automatically controlling the systems.
We aim to develop platform technologies for rapid generation of cloud services with these research activities.
