C&C Innovation Initiative

Mission

Do you know what "C & C" is? The chairman of NEC in 1977 first proposed this idea at an international conference. He predicted that "C" (computers) and "C" (communication) would someday be interconnected so that people could talk to each other at any time, from anywhere and to anywhere in the world. Computers would also be connected through a network and would process information useful to people. At that time, the idea that "C" and "C" would be integrated was an unbelievable one and seemed very far-fetched. Thirty years have passed since that prediction and it's now impossible to imagine the separation of computers and networks.

C&C innovation initiative is using the technology of C&C to propel the innovation. In our opinion, we cannot create innovation with only the brand-new technology. Innovation is to clarify the essential qualities of the complex problems that the society and the clients have. As a result, NEC is pursuing the solutions of these problems by combining our technology and the high technology in the world. And C&C innovation initiative is aiming to fulfill a society that is kind to the human beings and the earth by creating the innovations.

Activity

Because we want to realize an information society that is gentle with the earth and the human beings by our innovation, we are clarifying the potential problems of the society and our clients as our job.

It is not only fulfilling the needs of our clients, but also clarifying the potential needs that will become obvious in near future by analyzing the trend with our top C&C technology. It’s the solution which fulfills the essential needs that we are always working towards. Furthermore, after we solve the potential needs, we can understand the situation of our world. As a result, we can point out the direction that all people in our society have to head for.

In order to create the innovation which focuses on the value for the clients, we develop the technologies for fulfilling the purposes above and endeavor to apply them to the society
