NEC Storage Manager

NEC Storage Manager reduces storage management costs by providing functions that help administrators monitor the configuration and operating conditions of NEC Storage disk array system(*1).
NEC Storage Manager is shipped with NEC Storage Manager Suite for NEC Storage M100 series, and shipped with NEC Storage BaseProduct for NEC Storage M300 series, NEC Storage M500 series, NEC Storage M700 series.
Further, when managing only one disk array system, NEC Storage Manager Express itself that is installed in a disk array can manage one.

  • *1If the OS where NEC Storage Manager runs is Windows, up to 32 disk arrays can be connected.
    If the OS is Linux, up to 64 disk arrays can be connected.
  • *2A single disk array cannot be managed by NEC Storage Manager Express and NEC Storage Manager at a time.

NEC Storage Manager is management software for NEC Storage disk array system having the following functions.

Configuration management

Centralizes and displays configuration information of NEC Storage disk array system.

Status monitoring

Displays the components of NEC Storage disk array system and their operating conditions in a visual and intuitive manner. When a failure is detected, a message or an icon is displayed for notification.

Operation management

Provides operational collaboration and notification service triggered by a failure or when a performance threshold is exceeded.

Performance monitoring (NEC Storage PerfomanceMonitor is required)

Accumulates performance information of NEC Storage disk array system, helps analyze performance, and monitors performance in real-time. When a preset threshold level is exceeded, a message or an icon is displayed for notification.

Replication management (Replication product is required)

Displays pairs of master and replicated volumes and the operating conditions of replication functions.
