  • The NV7300GS is a single node model with low initial cost. (It can be upgraded to a cluster model.)

Advanced function

  • Tamper proof function, which prevents alteration or erasure of the files for a certain period.
  • The NV7300GS/NV7300G gateway supports connection with the high performance, high reliability NEC Storage S series.
  • Easy management operations using NEC Storage Manager IP greatly reduces TCO.
  • The functions include a snapshot function allowing management of up to 255 generations, remote replication, among many others.
  • The replication function of the NEC Storage S series works closely together with the NAS file system.
  • Uses unused areas of the existing NEC Storage S series for file services, making effective use of assets.

High Performance

High-Reliability, High-Availability

  • The NV7300G is a space saving, high availability model that accommodates a two-node cluster in a compact 4U space.
  • The NV7300GS is a single node model with a 2U space. The cluster upgrade kit can be used to create a twonode cluster installed in a 4U space.
  • Support for a port fail over function, which keeps network access up in the case of network failure, and a Link Aggregation function.
  • The standard configurations include NEC Storage PathManager. This software has a path fail over function and a load distribution function using paths for SAN storage.
  • Equipped with an ICA card*1 for inter-node high-speed data transfer during cluster construction.

*1 The dedicated hardware engine used for inter-node communication during cluster construction. By exchanging data using the dedicated hardware engine, it is possible to execute high-speed data exchange without imposing loads on the CPU.

High-Scalability

  • Each file system supports up to 20 TB. Disks can be added or dynamically expanded in accordance with the increase in data volume.
  • Allows expansions of up to 4 ports of Gigabit Ethernet per node.
  • Supports up to 80TB when connected to NEC Storage S series.

Optional features

  • By establishing functional links with NEC Storage DynamicDataReplication or NEC Storage RemoteDataReplication of the NEC Storage S series with the use of NEC Storage ReplicationControl on Windows, NV7300GS/NV7300G can establish a functional link with the backup server in the SAN environment, backup the disk at a remote location, and use an updatable replication for other purposes.

SAN/NAS Integration

  • SAN/NAS integrated system can be configured in combination with NEC Storage S series.
