Both being high-end NAS, NV7300S supports single-node configurations and NV7300 supports cluster configurations as the standard specifications

High-Reliability, High-Availability

  • Through hardware support by RAID-6, data can be protected even in case of double HDD failure.

  • Space-saving and high availability; mounting 2-node clusters in 4U chassis (select one from single-node model NV7300S and 2-node cluster model NV7300).
  • Supports the port failover function and the link aggregation function for maintaining network access during network failure.

*1 The dedicated hardware engine used for inter-node communication during cluster construction. By exchanging data using the dedicated hardware engine, it is possible to execute high-speed data exchange without imposing loads on the CPU.

Scalability

  • Each file system supports up to 20 TB. Disks can be added or dynamically expanded in accordance with the increase in data volume.
  • Gigabit Ethernet ports can be scaled up to 8 ports, and disk drives can be added up to a total of 240 units (up to 4 ports and 120 units for NV7300S).
  • Supports 2 Gbps fiber channel disk drives of 73 GB/147 GB/ 300 GB, and 500GB / 400GB serial ATA disk drive.
  • With a 300 GB disk drive, up to 54.1 TB is supported (up to 26.4 TB for NV7300S). When FC and SATA disks are mixed, up to 74.1 TB is supported (up to 36.7 TB for NV7300S).

Optional features

  • The replication software tuned for the NEC Storage NV series (MVD Sync by Mountain View Data) will allow a wide variety of replication styles such as a star shape.
