Various types of software are available in the NEC Storage NV series such as the basic software SC-LX5 (Storage Control Linux 5) in which Linux has been highly tuned for NAS control.
SC-LX5 efficiently uses battery backup memory and dedicated hardware for InfiniBand compliant high-speed data communications. Furthermore, it provides high performance, functionality, and reliability through the falsification prevention function, on-line capacity expansion function, network control function, file server function, centralized operation management function, and complete duplexing using cluster configurations. NEC Storage Manager IP is operation management software using the Web-based GUI included in SCLX5, and allows configuration settings and operation monitoring for the NV series.
