High-performance, high-reliability NAS products are demanded.
Conventionally, companies distributed and managed data for each department or task. However, operational loads have become a problem due to the necessity of having an administrator for every single department or task, or due to the rapidly increasing number of server units. Furthermore, reliability is required for data that is directly associated with important tasks such that it can be used anytime as necessary.
Data centralization (integration) can reduce not only such operation loads, but also TCO.
The NAS products of NEC consist of the NS series for office use and the NV series for high-end vendor use. This section introduces the various capabilities of the NV series.
