Great features of the NV series Part 1 - performance level stays the same even when access attempts spike

Use of a large-capacity NVRAM

By using an NVRAM, write operations are completed as soon as data is written in the NVRAM, and it is possible to immediately start processing the next write request. The I/O duration of over 10 ms that was necessary for write operations can be shortened to several us]. The difference in write time becomes more significant as more writing operations are executed. Furthermore, write data becomes duplexed in a different node for protection.

Regular RAM size is 128 MB, but the NV series use a GB-size NVRAM; therefore, a large volume of data can be easily written.

Use of an ultrafast TOE

TOE stands for TCP/IP Offload Engine, and a chip on a network card processes TCP/IP, which used to be processed by the CPU, to reduce loads on the CPU and therefore to create a faster and more stable operation environment. The hardware reliably supports the CPU.
