NEC transmitters are known throughout the broadcast community for their high reliability and minimal maintenance requirements. NEC's latest DTV-80 series is based on technology accumulated in many years through broad experience and rich supply record and as well feedback from our users. Variety of new technologies and useful functions to enhance user's operations and services are provided, including stable operating wideband power amplifiers, digital linear correctors to reduce distortion and expand service area. The DTV-80 is also ready to meet future requirements from users - by simply changing the exciter unit from DM-3000A to DM-4000A, the transmitter is ready for DVB-T2 broadcast.
| Small Footprint
The DTV-80 Series provides up to 8.7kW output power (average) by using 10 sets of PA units in a single rack, achieving a footprint of only 590 (W) x 2,000 (H) x 1,000 (D) mm, making it one of the smallest transmitter foot-prints in the world. |
Reduced maintenance costs
All DTV-80 series transmitters are produced from, and supported by, one common set of modules, resulting in reduced costs from purchase to installation and support. |
| Advanced cooling system
With the adoption of Hybrid Closed System for cooling, there is the advantage of excellent cooling liquid exchangeability and automatic removal of air from the system when an amplifier is changed. |
High Efficiency
By adopting the latest MOS FET in the newly developed VA3000QE PA, the DTV-80 Series are able to achieve high efficiency, enabling to reduce operation costs. |
| Wide range of redundancy configuration
To meet customer's ever increasing demands, the DTV-80 Series can offer wide range of backup options such as redundancy only in the liquid cooling system, redundant exciter, main/standby configuration and N+1 configurations. |
User friendly monitoring and control
The TX control unit of DTV-80 Series is controlled by PLD and thus able to quick boot as the UHF Digital TV Transmitters - DTU-52 Series. With it, users are able to monitor both operational status and log data (including fault record), as well set the controls. For users who prefer better visual operation, an optional color LCD display is also available. |
