If you unzip the zip file and install the software with the ZoneID information, the module after installing the software will not work properly. The information called "ZoneID" has been added to a file downloaded from a site in a zone configured other than [Intranet] on Internet Explorer of the Windows OS (such as Windows Server 2008, etc.). If ZoneID is added to the zip file, the ZoneID information is succeeded to a deployed file and a warning of security is displayed when executing the file, consequently, services or processes may not start. (1) Checking and changing the policy setting (Hide mechanisms to remove zone information): 1) Click the [Start] menu, and click [Run]. 2) Enter "gpedit.msc", and click [OK]. 3) The Group Policy Object Editor dialog box appears. Click [User Configuration], click [Administrative Templates], double-click [Windows Components], and double-click [Attachment Manager]. 4) Check the [State] of [Hide mechanisms to remove zone information]. If it is "Enabled," click [Disabled] on the Hide mechanisms to remove zone information Properties dialog box, and click [OK]. If it is "Disabled" or "Not Configured," you do not need to change the setting. (2) Deleting the ZoneID information of the zip file: 1) Open the properties dialog box of the zip file, and click the [General] tab. 2) If the following message is displayed, click [Unblock], and click [OK]. Security: This file came from another computer and might be blocked to help protect this computer. (3) Changing the policy setting (Hide mechanisms to remove zone information): If you changed the policy setting (Hide mechanisms to remove zone information) from "Enabled" to "Disabled," configure it to "Enabled" with the same procedure in (1). 3.2 Unzipping this software Copy this software (DPM610-002.zip) to an arbitrary folder (operation folder) and unzip it. Specify a path whose length is not over 80 bytes as the path to extract. If you specify a path whose length is over 80 bytes, the zip file might not be extracted properly. Hereinafter, the folder after DPM610-002.zip is unzipped will be referred to as the "Unzipped folder". 4. (4) Simplified master image creation in the OS installation by disk duplication (Windows) (#12769) Support Overview: - In the OS installation by disk duplication (Windows), the following tasks, which you need to do on the master machine, can be executed automatically by the pre-installed scenarios. - Preparing Sysprep - Executing Sysprep.bat (5) Support for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.3 (#12651) Support Overview: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.3 is now supported as the operating system for a managed machine. (6) Support for IPv6 (#11950) Support Overview: In the following DPM functions, you can manage and set IPv6 addresses. - Setting an IPv6 address for the managed machine in OS installation by disk duplication - Collecting the IPv6 address information from the DPM Client (7) Support for SQL Server 2012 (#13144) Support Overview: SQL Server 2012 is now supported as a database engine. (8) Support for JRE7 (#13192) Support Overview: The version of JRE included in the product has been changed from version 6 to 7. (9) Enhanced the display of the license information (#12873) Support Overview: You can confirm the followings by Web Console and DPM Command Line. - The number of licenses which are registered in DPM - The number of licenses which are used - The number of licenses which are not used (10) Enhanced searching the Management Server (#13132) Support Overview: In this version, it is possible to search for the Management Server in the environment where the Management Server and the managed machine are on the different segment if you configure only the regular DHCP Relay Agent. In the earlier DPM versions, port forwarding on the port 4011 had to be enabled on a network device to do this. (11) The data root directory can be changed when installing the database (DPMDBI instance) (#12959) Support Overview: You can specify the following parameters when you directly use the SQL Server installer to install the retail version of SQL Server. - Instance root directory - Data root directory You had to specify the same folder for them in the earlier DPM versions, however, you can specify a different folder for each of them and install the database. (12) The dpmcmd execution is no more halted by Ctrl + C input (#12545) Support Overview: Ctrl+C input is disabled so that it does not halt the dpmcmd execution. [Functional Enhancements from DPM Ver6.10] The followings are enhanced. (1) vSphere 5.1 is supported. (#12641) Support Overview: vSphere 5.1 is supported. (2) The function of MAC Address Allocation in vSphere is supported. (#12763) Support Overview: In the early version, when the managed machine (virtual machine) was registered on DPM, the machine was not powered off after the registration. This is done by describing the MAC address in the following file. \Datafile\forceskip.ini However, in the function of MAC Address Allocation in vSphere 5.1, MAC address can be specified arbitrarily. Therefore from DPM Ver6.11, the specification is changed not to power off the machine after the registration, regardless of whether the managed machine is physical or virtual. If you want to power off the machine after registering the machine, configure the above file by seeing Section 2.2.1.1, "Automatically Acquiring the Information of a Managed Machine and Registering the Machine on DPM" in DeploymentManager OperationGuide. (3) Windows Server 2012 is supported. (#12793) Support Overview: Windows Server 2012 is supported as a managed machine. Only the following functions are supported in DPM Ver6.11. - Backup/restore/disk configuration check - Power on/shutdown - Status check of power on/off - Obtaining the information of OS/service packs/hotfixes/applications 6. Fixed Problems [Fixed problems from DPM Ver6.11] The following problems are fixed. (1) Searching the Management Server does not function (#13303) Phenomenon: Searching the Management Server might fail on a managed machine. This issue applies only to the managed machine running a 64-bit Windows operating system. Problem Explanation: DPM Client temporarily disables a WOW 64 file system redirector in order to access the native system directory (%windir%\System32) on a 64-bit Windows operating system. It must be enabled after accessing the native directory, but the process to enable it is not executed and this issue can occur. Solution: Added the process to re-enable a file system redirector. (2) In Image Builder (Remote Console), an application error occurs (#13327) Phenomenon: When you do the following operation in Image Builder (Remote Console), an application error occurs. 1. On the [Create Setup Parameter File] screen, click [File]. Then click [Create new disk copy information files for 2008/Vista or later] (clicking [Create new information files] is alternative to this operation.) 2. After clicking [Cancel], click [File] menu and click [Create new disk copy information files for 2003/2000/XP] on the [Create Setup Parameter File] screen. Problem Explanation: If you perform the procedure above in Image Builder (Remote Console), a resource is doubly released internally, which causes an application error. Solution: Fixed the process not to doubly release a resource. (3) Collecting logs in DPM fails in the environment that there is not database (#13428) Phenomenon: An error might occur when you attempt to collect DPM logs in the environment that has no databases. Problem Explanation: The log collecting tool asynchronously iterates the database access even though the environment has no database. If the log collecting tool proceeds to the process to compress the collected data during the retry of database access, an error occurs because the tool tries to compress the file that is being accessed. Solution: Fixed the log collecting tool not to try to access a database if there is no database in the environment. (4) DeploymentManager services may fail to start when starting the Management Server (#13440) Phenomenon: The following services may fail to start when starting the Management Server: - DeploymentManager Backup/Restore Management - DeploymentManager PXE Management - DeploymentManager PXE Mtftp - DeploymentManager Remote Update Service - DeploymentManager Transfer Management Problem Explanation: The internal process fails when the DeploymentManager service starts during the start-up process of the network service, which causes an error. Solution: Fixed the DeploymentManager services so that they can delay their execution timing if services are in process. [Fixed problems from DPM Ver6.10] The following problems are fixed. (1) DeploymentManager API Service ends abnormally. (#12784) Phenomenon: If you repeat the operation of obtaining the computer information, DeploymentManager API Service may end abnormally. Problem Explanation: If you execute the operation of obtaining the computer information (refreshing the screen, referring to/obtaining the computer information, etc.), a memory leak occurs when DPM obtains the applications/hotfixes information of the managed machine. As a result, if used memory exceeds the maximum limit of usable memory, the phenomenon that DeploymentManager API Service ends abnormally occurs. Solution: Fixed not to leak the memory. 7.
