Exploiting NEC's extensive experience in cloud operations, Cloud Manager provides a standardized portal that features different functions as necessary for the role to play (administrator or service user). The portal can be customized easily to meet specific requirements by rearranging user interface components.
This helps build a self-service portal in a much shorter time, thus enabling rapid IaaS deployment.
Users can use the self-service portal to apply for service use, return services, and manipulate assigned ICT resources (start/stop, snapshot creation, and restoration) on their own. They can also view the usage status and rate of ICT resources via the portal.
The portal can be operated safely because each administrator and service user can access menus only within the scope of authority assigned to them.
Cloud Manager collects data for a specified period of time to create and display a report on the usage of ICT resources. This helps analyze ICT resource usage trends and develop resource enhancement plans.
Cloud Manager can also gather and accumulate contract information for billing individual departments and output the information in CSV format. This makes it possible to provide the information to an external billing system.
