Fast and reliable failure detection and recovery reduces down time, ensuring up to 99.99 % up time for business applications, keeping you always ahead of your competition. The recovery process is automatic and does not require any manual intervention.
As soon as a failure is detected, EXPRESSCLUSTER automatically restart or failover applications and data to a healthy server. EXPRESSCLUSTER provides high flexibility in designing failover policy. Granular recovery policies can be easily and quickly configured with EXPRESSCLUSTER.

EXPRESSCLUSTER not only monitors and detects application failures, but is also capable of monitoring and detecting many types of OS failures, hardware failures and even network failures.
Beyond monitoring the existence of application processes, EXPRESSCLUSTER can also perform proactive application specific probes (e.g. HTTP request) using monitoring agents to verify normal application function. Quick and accurate detections results in minimal failover time.

It is observed that up to 70% downtime is due to maintenance activities like patch installation, HW/SW upgrade and other regular maintenance activities.
During server maintenance, access to critical applications is limited/unavailable. To minimize any business disruption during scheduled/unscheduled maintenance, EXPRESSCLUSTER can manually failover applications to another server. Manual failover can be initiated by a single click operation using either EXPRESSCLUSTER unified GUI or command line interface.
Network partition is a situation when all connections between cluster nodes are disconnected. In this situation application may start on multiple servers as each server assumes that the other servers are down. It could lead to data inconsistency or corruption.
To avoid this and protect data integrity EXPRESSCLUSTER offers multiple methods. These methods include: Heartbeat, Majority method, Ping method, COM method and Shared disk method.
