EXPRESSSCOPE Engine makes remote server management safe and simple for NEC servers.
Remote KVM capabilities of EXPRESSSCOPE Engine enable administrators to control NEC servers distributed world wide from a remote management console. Regardless of the server status, screens available on the local console are also available on the remote console. Remotely accessible screens include the Power On Self Test (POST) screen; Basic Input/Output System (BIOS) setup screen; operating system screen for Windows, Linux, DOS; and the blue screen which appears in panic situations.
Remote KVM is stress free with interface functions designed to ease administration. For example, the remote KVM window can be expanded to full screen mode for better readability or switched to the remote media window with no effort.
Drives of the remote management console, such as the optical drive, are acknowledged as virtual drives by the server. This enables administrators to remotely install operating systems and applications on servers from physical media.
Recent technical efforts have significantly enhanced overall operability of remote media. For instance, each drive can be connected and unconnected individually for increased flexibility.
